I helped launch "NOW Tonight with Joshua Johnson," the newest NBC News NOW prime time show. I am currently a segment producer. I was the first segment producer hired to launch the NBC News NOW morning show, "Morning News NOW" with Joe Fryer and Savannah Sellers. I produce segments, panels and packages from inception to broadcast. I do not have a regular beat because I have a track record of tackling whatever assignment comes my way. I have covered the pandemic from the beginning, the 2020 election, the Capitol Riot and other historic events. I produce headlines, and even step in to help the senior team with line producing. I train segment producers when they first join the show. I segment produce rolling coverage after the show, which includes keeping elements consistent and scripts updated. I also introduce new guests to the broadcast for live segments and packages.I am also the designated fill-in line producer for NOW Tonight. I stack the rundown, plan editorial, book reporters and help edit scripts. During the show I work the voice-activated prompter, check in guests, copyedit the show and communicate with producers. All while this is happening, I am in the anchor’s ear. This job was among the most physically taxing and satisfying. I would maintain order of a room of about ten children five days a week throughout the summer and twice a week over the school year. With a teacher, we incorporated artistic skills like acting, dance and painting to improve the children's social skills. I supervised them as the wrote, acted and directed short films. After classes we would do physical activity like dance or go to professional art classes.
