Overtook the lead position in the QA department after my first 6 months on the job. Participated in over 35 unique web & SaaS projects. Planned, documented, and executed tests designed to make sure that my team’s contribution is designed thoughtfully, implemented exactingly, and matched without exception to the needs & desires of our clients. Programmed automated tools using Python, Selenium WebDriver, and Shell script. Honed a style of defect logging that is precise, and extremely readable.

I shadowed an experienced Drupal developer, and established myself as a good person to keep around. They hired me!

Planning, execution, and automation of quality assurance tests against custom Drupal sites, and custom ASP.Net web applications. Methods and tools include manual testing (planned and exploratory), automation with Selenium WebDriver (Python bindings), layout and code analysis, and documentation of defect reports in the Mantis bug tracking system.

Designed promotional materials, flyers, invitations, animated greeting cards. Also implemented some usability optimizations for the structure of their old website. Networked with community members, and advised many of them on ways of improving their websites.

Graduated from the Basic Mediation Training with an improved notion of how to diffuse conflict, and clearly express human needs. Consulted on a capital campaign, and created a promotional animation that is still used to introduce the organization at public exhibitions and conferences. After a semester of consulting with Dr. Richard Kopak (UBC) on digital interfaces for education and rhetoric, I was hired to review over twenty web based tools for annotation (Diigo, Zotero, Stickis, etc). This research was intimately connected with the development of an annotation tool for The Public Knowledge Project’s content management project Open Journal Systems, wherein collaboration and peer review is facilitated by web-tools.
