Being a Welding/Civil Inspector, I mainly work independently as a Chief Inspector on civil and mechanical projects. I am responsible for insuring the contractors, hired by the gas companies, complete all construction projects safely and to the gas companies specifications and standards. I am responsible for documenting all progress as well as validating certifications and calibrations. I assist in problem solving and act as liaison for project management and engineering.

As an independent private contractor, I have safely and competently completed many welding, metalsmithing and woodworking projects. Supervised custom home finishing and I have designed and fabricated a wide range of custom and detail-oriented pieces. These projects includ flooring, moulding, cabinetry, furniture, fences, decorative gates, trailers and varying finishing work.

As a hazardous waste technician, I was responsible for removing, cleaning, and transporting hazardous and biohazard waste under the guidelines of California OSHA rules and regulations. I was required to maintain a Class A Commercial driver’s license with a Hazardous Materials Endorsement, as well as maintain customer relations and detailed logs of pickups and quantities in accordance with federal law.

I received an Honorable Discharge after eight years in the United States Marine Corps, where I completed four combat deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan. As a Motor Transport Operator, I was responsible for the safety, training and readiness of Marines and trucks prior to and during deployments.Early in my Marine Corps career, I became a Range Safety Officer (RSO), maintaining the safety and education of Marines with weapons and explosive-demolition ranges. Many times during deployments we would have to move locations and construct new Forward Operating Bases (FOBs). During my final deployment to Afghanistan as a Sergeant, I held the Billet of Camp Commandant for a FOB, which is usually a position reserved for the higher enlisted. As such, I was responsible for the care and safety of the FOB and all troops in it, while maintaining intelligence logs and managing operational funds. I have successfully planned and executed countless logistic and combat missions in high stress environments, always focusing on the safety and readiness of my fellow Marines.
