• A Personal Protection officer (PPO) is a person who is responsible for the security of another person or group of persons. PPO must protect his client and or property from all kind of threats or risks exposing himself to impending danger if t necessary.• The job may involve the use of firearms in certain geographic areas. Law of the country dictates the use of firearms in close protection industry. • Good communicative skills are valuable in this job. A PPO communicates clearly and respectfully, not only with the hiring client, but with the overall public too. Besides, sometimes his duties may involve answering the telephone and may also demand communicating with his co-workers. • A close protection operative must be an observer at the first place. He will be constantly observing the surroundings and the behavior of the people around. A good vision is a key requisite for this task. While observing, PPO will have to be permanently evaluating if any behavior or circumstance may be a potential hazard for the client’s safety. • Any imminent threat requires immediate detection and action shall be taken towards the client’s best protection.Even when not performing a driver’s function, a PPO must possess proficient skills to drive clients out of risky situations rapidly and safely.• All the requisites and demanded skills in a PPO are meant to allow the best possible professional outcome, for the safety and protection of all involved parts and even for the circumstantial third parties. Therefore, safety is number one in all PPO responsibilities.

Manage ARCGIS, Geo Frame, Petrel, OWL, and I.H.S. Download reports, and files from the OOSA website, update BOEM well data downloads, check for new permits, update well/lease maps as needed. Backup active projects, create new projects, and load horizons into interpretation projects, load seismic, wells, markers, directional surveys into master well project and export to interpretation projects. Additionally, organize and manipulate geological, geophysical, and geochemical databases in Excel, Access, and ARGIS, as well as coordinate data and information flow between G&G staff, commercial vendors of data and other services, other technicians, and other departments.

Provide oil and gas exploration support, including data reformatting, data management of seismic, well, and geographical data. Deliver seismic and well data management support and assistance for the Geoscience team to optimize workflows and improve integration with 3rd party software packages. Responsibilities include all aspects of seismic data management to include defining, documenting and enforcing standards and workflows for loading, managing and archiving seismic and well data. Contribute to the definition and planning of projects then work with peers and team members in other disciplines to provide end user support for the other 3rd party G&G application platforms.

Support local geoscientists and in-country Portuguese business unit. Manage, evaluate, and implement both, hardware and software including applications and updates. Manage geological/ geophysical, interpretive, mapping and data management applications. Provides user and project support, and integrated workflows for visualization products including GeoFrame, GeoGraphix, SeiseWare, and Petra. Troubleshoot software problems and provide group training and workflow solutions to the end-users and technicians. Manage telecommunications, servers, back-ups, Archiving, including on-line, near-line, and off-line tape transcriptions.

Manage domestic and international seismic, well and culture data. Provide support during and after hours.Supply comprehensive system administration for GeoFrame data management. Utilize storage management concepts and tools to develop policies and procedures for optimum storage utilization. Provide technical input for planning the growth and evolution of network and direct attached storage. Specific storage management duties include but not limited to (user data classification, creating storage pools, storage monitoring, moving/copying user data, projecting storage growth). Developing, implementing, and monitoring effective back-up and recovery tools and processes for mainframe and open systems. Troubleshoot storage and backup problems (identify, analyze, and resolve software and hardware problems). Conduct Onsite application support training for technicians and G&G staff.

• Access, maintain, and present data from a variety of sources depicting well and field operating statistics. • Manipulate and present data pertaining to company asset base.• Build detailed economic models representing potential capital investments.

• Provide on-site user support services for geoscientists and engineers (GeoFrame environment).• Manipulate engineering and geoscience digital data (conversion of data between applications, converting files/data prior to loading, reformat data, migrating data between repositories). • Construct and maintain digital cross-sections, depositional models, structure/isopachs maps.
