Activities were centered on the electrical design for PV & small wind projects, process development for commercial energy audits and in house software application design. Flexera provided energy services in Delaware, Maryland and New Jersey.Solar Photovoltaic (PV) System Electrical Design• Designed over 80 systems servicing both residential and commercial facilities located in DE, PA, NJ and MD in compliance with NEC, state codes, and the local utility for parallel operation of grid interactive equipment.• Evaluated client’s historical energy consumption, electrical infrastructure and intended system performance requirements. • Selected electrical equipment, sized wiring and protection equipment, and generated single and three line schematics. Energy Manager• Performed commercial and industrial energy audits which provided customers with cost savings measures, utility tariff analysis, equipment analysis and current O&M forecasting.• Integrated renewable energy strategies to minimize inflationary effects to production cost.• Develop financial models for equipment obsolescence, operational cost and maintenance. Delaware Department of Energy R&D Project: Residential 3.5kW Vertical Axis Wind Turbine• Performed complete electrical design for 3.5 kW wind turbine designed and developed by Flexera under a Department Of Energy grant managed by DNREC. Design consisted of a 3 phase rectification of alternator outputs, impedance matching inverter input and complete design of wireless monitoring and instrumentation system. • Developed detailed risk management plans which drove inclusion of product requirements to mitigate serious risk factors into acceptable ranges.• The turbine design process had followed product development lifecycles dictated by International Standards Organization (ISO) standards 9001:2008.
