Duties included machine design, BOM generation, production support, Customer Factory Acceptance, and field installation.Developed an explosion resistant machine enclosure for an aerosol filling machine. The design was simulated in Solidworks FEA for compliance to overpressure structural requirements.Designed many change part kits for various machines, according to the customer requirements. Member of the Aerosol Modularization Project. Data mined past customer BOMs to generate standard machine configurations and common parts lists. Automated machine check sheets were compiled from this data to allow Engineering to quickly and efficiently generate BOMs for new orders of Aerosol equipment. This project also required converting many drawings from "hard" metric to "soft" metric. Extensive training in Solidworks CAD, BOM generation, and GD&T. Frequent travel to outside vendors for machine acceptance trials.
Engineering Manager
Defined CAD departmental policies and implemented part numbering system for all new machine designs. Standardized formats, borders and drawing dimensioning practices. Developed Bill of Materials (BOM) for all new and updated machine designs. Provided build documentation to inside and outside vendors for all new equipment build.Redesigned baseline mechanical carton erecting machine. Converted French design to U.S. standard materials and fasteners. Completed machine contained approximately 650 new part numbers. Eleven (11) machines were built in 2004.Developed a three (3) axis servo motor version of the standard mechanical carton erecting machine. Twenty-six (26) machines were delivered in 2005. Developed two larger versions of the standard machine.Developed a large cheese barrel case erector utilizing 7 servo axis controls. Machine was delivered in Jan., 2006.

Redesigned automatic toothbrush tray loading machines to accommodate a new style of toothbrush. Upgrade electrical and PLC components to ISO standard components. Changed motor drive system to closed loop stepper motor. Supervised production of 35 units for both U.S. and Ireland plants. Traveled to Mexico to assist in the startup of a new tooth brush production facility. Traveled to Germany and Belgium 7 times to commission new equipment. Traveled to Ireland 3 times to witness equipment installation and debug activities.
