As a Career Development Consultant, I conduct career skills interviews to develop and implement individualized education and employment plans for potential students. I assist with enrollment process, scheduling, retention and placement of new and existing students. -Assist and advise individuals transitioning from incarceration back into the community.-Maintain and manage a caseload of 20-25 program participants.-Provide pre and post-release services to individuals to address their needs.-Provide individual and group training in core curriculum content areas such as cognitive intervention, general work skills and expectations, job readiness, financial literacy, and other community resources.-Coordinate with staff and agents to recruit and counsel participants with release planning, job search and job retention activities, and educational opportunities.-Establish relationships with community and business leaders in order to promote program and clients for employment opportunities.-Complete and maintain confidential records and monthly reports regarding clients’ history and progress, services provided, and/or other required information along with follow-ups into database system.-Communicate with other departments within the agency for co-enrollments and services being provided to the client(s). -Leadership Coordinator for Youth Build Program for individuals ages 18-24.

-Assist and advise families residing in Milwaukee County referred by the Bureau of Milwaukee Child Welfare (BMCW) or Juvenile Justice System.-Maintain and manage a case load of 8 -10 families with youth who have serious emotional or mental health needs.-Conduct a strengths-based inventory and develop a care plan to guide the delivery of services and treatment to address mental health, social and other support needs.-Communicate effectively with providers such as schools, courts, mental health providers, probation officers, Bureau of Milwaukee Chile Welfare, and other Wraparound providers.-Prepare written court reports and/or documents detailing the client’s compliance.

-Provide services to Milwaukee Municipal Court defendants who are at risk of incarceration.-Conduct interviews to assess the financial, social, and clinical status of defendants in order to identify needs and determine appropriate alternatives to incarceration.-Perform court appearances to provide recommendations of alternatives to incarceration. -Provide case management and monitoring of participation in community service, employment search, mental health and/or substance abuse treatment to ensure satisfaction of court requirements.-Collaborate with community agencies and providers to coordinate referrals for services such as for employment, housing, driver’s license recovery, clothing, and medical care.-Prepare written court reports for scheduled hearings detailing the client’s compliance.-Maintain confidential records in client database to document all case management activity.
