CurrentWith over 38 years of airline and automation experience the majority of Brian Lupton’s career has been focused on directing the activities, resources and time frames necessary to define, plan, implement, manage and support the successful operational delivery and use of Airline support systems and services particularly in the areas of migration and merging of Airline Information Technical systems.Brian has personally provided the oversight and management of 11 airline real time migrations Moving to the Dallas Fort Worth area of Texas in 1998, Brian joined Sabre, During this time he was also responsible for leading in the de- migration of Canadian Airlines from the Sabre systems to those of Air Canada when these two carriers merged. In July of 2001, Brian joined EDS and headed up the delivery team that assisted TWA in merging with American Airlines. In 2003 Brian was asked to lead the migration of Frontier Airlines in Denver Colorado from the SHARES system to Sabre, and in 2005 he was responsible for the management of .I.T merger activities working with America West Airlines in Tempe Arizona and US Airways which was accomplished in March, 2007. In September of 2008 as EDS was purchased by HP, he worked with both Northwest Airlines of Minneapolis and Delta Air Lines of Atlanta as an Airline Migration Consultant through February, 2010 on merger/migration activities in what was described in one industry publication as a “merger process that should serve as an industry model of how to do it smoothly.”Brian holds as Bachelor of Arts from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. He has been a guest speaker at “Qantas Airline’s 100 days to Cutover Seminar” in Sydney, Australia and has been a participant in the University of Alberta’s Management Studies Class a number of times using Canadian Airlines migration as a case study.
