I am a Final Year Medical Student at the University of Glasgow.I have seven years of experience in pre-clinical Immunology research in both academia and industry. I hold a B.A. (Hons) in Immunology from Trinity College Dublin and a PhD in Infection and Immunity from the University of Glasgow.I have a strong interest in the molecular pathways underpinning the pathogenesis of chronic autoimmune disorders, and the development of effective therapies with which to treat them. I am passionate about effective communication of scientific topics to the public and am keen to connect with other Science Communicators.I have extensive experience in non-coding RNA research and non-viral gene therapy, with applications in rheumatology (RA, OA, PsA) and respiratory medicine (IPF, CF, COPD).
