·Supporting 40 Oracle databases ranging in sizes of less than 1 TB to 1.25 PBs. Extensive use of Oracle HCC compression to reduce the total primary database footprint from 2 PB to 500 TB. Supporting 20 standby databases totaling 2 PBs.·Oracle installs, upgrades, and patching on Linux and Solaris servers of database versions 11g and 12c·Implemented disk-to-disk backups for all databases using Oracle incrementals forever and delayed incremental apply.·Implemented OpenLDAP with replication to replace an aging Oracle OID environment.·Migrated 15 databases totaling 50 TBs from multiple servers to a consolidated environment using transportable tablespace.·Bare medal up build of an Oracle ODA. ·SQL Tuning using Oracle OutLines, SQL Profiles, hints, table caching, external tables, and migration of sort temp to flash cache.

·Team lead supporting 200+ Oracle databases, 100+ database servers, Oracle 8i/9i/10g/11g, Solaris, Linux, and AIX in the areas of installation, performance, backup, recovery, and upgrade. Many databases in the 1 to 5 terabyte range.·Implemented 6 Oracle bi-directional Streams environments using 10g and 11g, on database as large at 4 terabytes. ·Built and tuned nine Oracle RAC environments for the main frame to Oracle initiative.·Oracle technical support for application development and Unix administration teams.·Design and implementation of scripts for database monitoring and backups utilizing Unix scripting languages, SQL, PL/SQL, Sql*Plus, RMAN with Veritas NetBackup, and Big Brother/Sister.·Designed, developed, and implemented many database purging routines using PL/SQL and the Oracle internal job scheduler.·Lead DBA in development and support of the AVS project.
