Working Electrical Projects from FEED to execution to close out in office. These projects can be small upgrades to major rig overhauls and installations as full turnkey shipyard contractor. Projects are executed onshore, offshore, shipyard in many locations at home (UK) and abroad (globally). The scale can range from 8 Expat electricians to over 100 expat and local tradesmen from various trades. The work is carried out to the highest standard, working to the clients specification and DNV, ABS, LLoyds etc

Overseeing major upgrades on the John Shaw, Semi-submersible rig. New systems included Fire & Gas, PA/GA System, Full drilling package overhaul/upgrade and accommodation upgrade. Liaising with contractors, suppliers and vendors for electrical and outfitting work. Reporting to the Project Manager and Rig Management team. All projects were carried out safely and within timescale required. On the other occasion it was for the FEL group. Front end engineering (FEED) for the major repair and upgrade projects division, working out of Aberdeen office with trips offshore to survey rigs for EC&I system requirements. Liaising with Project Manager, Rig Management, vendors and contractors to budget and develop work scopes for each project WBS. Making sure all engineering specifications and installation requirements were captured and developed work packs and scope of work documents and procedures. For both positions I was hired through Eurotech.

Installation work to upgrade the platform DCS system, including well control, fire and gas and utilities. Supervise Electrical Technicians, Rope access technicians and Instrument Pipe fitters. Also stand in as General Foreman when required.
