Started a Procurement Department for the largest operator of oil & gas wells in the United States.Initially focused on reducing operating costs in the Central Region (Oklahoma, Texas & Louisiana) in an effort to prove viability and show the benefits a Procurement Department can add. Future plans include adding personnel to Central to maintain momentum while beginning implementation in the Appalachia Region.Realized $2.2MM in cost savings in six months focusing on water hauling, chemical treatment and leased compression services.

Created and established the Procurement Department for a private equity start-up to construct oil and gas midstream assets in the Eagle Ford and Bakken Shales.Developed and implemented processes for procuring goods and services, procure to pay, and implemented a procurement system that interfaced with the existing financial system.Procured all goods and services for capital projects with a total spend of ~$500MM and annual operations spend of ~$10MM.

Played an integral role in the start-up of the Procurement Department for TGGT Midstream, a joint venture between Exco Resources and British Gas.Successfully delivered many capital projects on time and under budget with a total capital project spend of ~$400MM including large diameter gas pipelines, gathering systems, gas treating facilities, and compressor stations.Developed and implemented processes for procuring goods and services, procure to pay, measuring contractor performance, surplus material handling and asset recovery.

Managed an annual spend of ~$20MM supporting 8 branch locations within the U.S.Reduced inventory and product costs by ~$1.29MM.Decreased inventory by 12.5% through actively managing replenishment settings, supplier lead-times, prepaid freight levels and discount hurdles while maintaining a high service level and minimizing stock-outs.

Managed the development and execution of new projects from concept to completion including design, estimating, bidding, negotiating, awarding contracts and managing contractors’ execution of the work.Increased unit profit margin by improving estimating accuracy and reducing construction cost.Developed trade specific Total Cost of Ownership Models, jointly with contractors, to create increased cost transparency and more effective cost management.

Realized $2.47MM in cost savings through multiple strategic sourcing efforts for the Gulf Coast Region.Developed and implemented a global strategic sourcing strategy for pumps and associated parts and services across four divisions within Europe, NAFTA & APAC Regions.Organized a technical community for pumps and associated equipment to share best practices, identify standardization opportunities and enact change in the sourcing methodologies across the NAFTA region.As a member of the Contractor Management Team, developed and implemented a new contractor management process that included increased unit rate contracting, identified meaningful key performance indicators and created consistency in the management of contractors across the sites.

Developed and managed the contracting strategy and sourcing process for the Angostura Exploration & Development Drilling Program with a capital spend of ~$350MM.Negotiated ~$11MM in costs savings and favorable terms for the Angostura Program.Developed standardized contracts and sourcing documents specific to the America’s.
