I am an experienced non-executive director and a qualified solicitor, with more than 30 years' experience of the Irish and international funds industries. I act, and have acted, as director and as chair of a number of investment fund vehicles and fund management companies.Previously from1997 to end 2023, I was a partner in, and for many years head, of A&L Goodbody's Asset Management & Investment Funds Group. I have extensive experience in the establishment and authorisation of all types of investment funds including UCITS, AIFs and non-regulated funds and also advised on fund structuring solutions. In addition to advising the promoters and investment managers of such funds, my clients included fund investors, fund directors and fund service providers including administrators, depositaries and prime brokers, all of whom I advised on relevant Irish law, regulation and practices. My expertise also covers all aspects of the regulation of asset management and fund servicing activities in Ireland including advising on the establishment of asset management and fund servicing operations, UCITS and AIF management companies and obtaining the requisite authorisations.
