I was Initially employed by Microsoft as a Support Escalation Engineer to troubleshoot and resolve customer issues with Microsoft Operations Manager.This role involved working on the more complex escalated cases that lower-tier support specialist couldn't resolve, and in this position I also worked with System Center Operations Manager 2007 from its early days in beta support.I was then promoted in November 2008 to be an Escalation Engineer, which is a role that works debugging code and solving the most complex, highly political and difficult escalated support cases that our customers raise for System Center Operations Manager, Service Manager, Orchestrator, Service Manager and Azure Automation.This involves debugging and analysing our System Center code, detecting bugs and opportunities for other code improvements within our product.I act as the support liaison with the product development team in order to drive product improvements.I am responsible for ensuring our diverse support team across EMEA is ready at launch to support our newly released products, developing and delivering training across the region.I also lead initiatives to reduce support costs, developing and publishing info to help our customers and writing automated problem detection and resolution tools.
