As the most successful Professional Rugby League Player / Coach in Super League's 30 year history, during my career, I have experienced many versions of leadership and management while serving my country. I have learned from the best both as a Royal Marine Commando and as a Rugby League player/coach and believe both have benefitted me to create a unique approach to management and leadership. The way any organisation shares ideas and dialogue is one of the most important key issues to create success. But interestingly how they talk to each other especially during intense periods and times of adversity can either promote innovation or stifle it. Toronto Wolfpack were the first Transatlantic Professional Sports Team competing in the Super League (Rugby League) competition. In my first year as coach, the Wolfpack were promoted to Super League after their 24–6 victory in the 2019 Million Pound Game.
