As President of Enterprise Community Development - the communities division and development arm of Enterprise Community Partners, Brian McLaughlin leads the company’s overall strategic direction as well as that of Enterprise Residential, ECD’s property management arm. ECD ranks among the country's 10 largest nonprofit affordable housing providers (and top 30 among for-profit and nonprofit) and is the largest provider in the country headed by a black CEO.ECD specializes in high-impact residential development, property management and resident supportive services with 60 years of collective experience. Conceived, planned and successfully launched Lantian Development, a boutique real estate investment and development firm focused on targeted acquisitions and value-add improvements in the DC metro region. Sourced, underwrote and closed investments leading to a 1.4 million square foot portfolio across 403 acres in the Washington, DC metropolitan region with signature acquisitions including the 61-acre Washington Bible College, the 203-acre Comsat campus, and the 31-acre Shady Grove Portfolio now owned by Boston Properties. Investments spanned all asset classes: unimproved land, underutilized commercial and institutional office buildings, hotel, single family and multifamily.

Launched the real estate development arm of a successful regional construction and interiors company (The Commercial Group, Inc)• Grew company from 1 to 9 employees within first 18 months, deploying all operating protocols, guidelines and polices, establishing a property management company and building a $100m prospective pipeline across multifamily, single family and commercial assets.• Secured scattered site assembly of Baltimore properties for multi-block renovation strategy, secured zoning and related entitlements for new MF construction, completed comprehensive gut renovation of long-abandoned MF building, secured funding and partnered with Housing Authority of Easton for demo and new housing construction.
