Recruiting is a combination of sales, research, intuition, pitching and speed. The only way you can succeed is to outwork the other people who want the attention of your candidate. My recruiting success directly ties back to my passion for helping people. Helping a hiring manager find their next great talent who is going to move the needle. A candidate who is ready to make their mark with a company. I have completed hires in the thousands to date. I have made some very good friends for life during the process. Bottom line is, LISTEN to both parties. UNDERSTAND what each is really looking for. DELIVER to each with TRUST, PASSION and INTEGRETY. This approach has served me well and will continue to do so for years to come!FOOD FOR THOUGHT? What makes a great recruiter? Someone who can push paper? Someone who can do a key word search? Someone who can click applicants in a ATS? I think NOT. Although those are helpful skills to have, a key to greatness is being an awesome sales person. The skill set required to read a resume and match it to a job spec can be learned but, most of the time, you are either great at sales or not. Sure, there are courses you can take to become better at Sales but to be an expert, it should be part of the DNA.
