Led a team of 25 permanent employees, all committed to access to and improvement of justice in DRC. In collaboration with the Admin-Fin-Log and Project Coordinators, I managed a budget of approximately 2.4 million Euros/year for 4 projects carried out in 5 provinces of the Democratic Republic of Congo (Kinshasa, Ituri, Kasai, Equateur and North Kivu).Worked with national, institutional (Ministry of Justice, Public Prosecutor's Office, Judicial Police, etc.) and civil society partners on the following central themes : the fight against torture in places of detention (police custody and pre-trial detention), the fight against corruption in the justice sector (in particular by supporting an informal network of people of integrity), the fight against international crimes and support for Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADRM) Mechanisms(ADRM). I coordinated and helped write an EU consortium project for €8M over 3 years, which since February 2022, is being implemented by RCN J&D (lead), in partnership with ASF Belgium and TRIAL International, on the themes of abusive pre-trial detention, international criminal justice, alternative dispute resolution (ADR), legal aid and anti-corruption in the justice sector.

Chad-Cameroon

Head of a double country mission (Chad & Cameroon), with 120 employees and 9 ongoing projects, I was responsible, in tandem with the Programme Officer, for monitoring projects and advising Project Managers, monitoring funding opportunities, conducting needs assessments in both development and humanitarian emergencies in Chad (Lake Chad and Ouaddaï-Sila-Salamat) and in the Far North of Cameroon in the fields of emergency Education, Early Childhood Education and Development, Child Protection (including the rehabilitation of former child hostages and former child soldiers involved in Boko Haram activities), Mental Health (adults and children) and GBV, as well as the pacification of relations between farmers and herders/reduction of community conflicts.Together with Country Finance Manager, I ensured the financial balance of the mission (annual budget: 4.5 million euros/year) and negotiated with the TFPs/donors. In addition, in coordination with the base managers and headquarters, I advised on security decisions when necessary to evacuate certain areas and staff during the rebel attack in spring 2021. I co-wrote a Wash-Education-Environment project with the Project Manager and raised 700K€ for one year. I contributed to defining the country strategy for Chad and Far North Cameroon. As a key leader of the Coopi's Country Coordination, I was involved in several projects with and thanks to its local partners, and in consortium with other INGOs (IRC, Initiatives et Développement)

I led a mission of 10 staff (23 until December 2015) while working with two local CSOs, on a program implemented by RCN J&D and its partners in Burundi with funding 2.2 million euros spread over 5 years. Working in a volatile political and security context since May 2015, I faced the suspension and reopening of the mission, partly alone. Led the mission during a time when Burundi was under "European sanctions" preventing central support to the Burundian authorities rendering difficult conditions fundraising conditions and relations with national authorities who were particularly hostile to international NGOs working in Human Rights. Negotiated with the Dutch Embassy a co-financing of 354.000 € for 3 years, and supported one of our local partners in fundraising 15.000 € from the PISCA of the French Embassy.
