A larger part of my working career, approximately 22 years, has been in warehousing and logistics. For the last 15 years I've transitioned to transportation operations. I've been exposed to several WMS systems, routing systems, and have held certifications for operating power equipment such as gas/propane/electric forklifts, stand-up and sit down types, and container hostler. I have knowledge and experience with Micro Soft office products such, Word, Excel, and Power Point. I am experienced with developing and analyzing metrics for performance reviews, productivity, and tracking trends. I currently manage a team of 38 CDL A tractor drivers, and an office staff of 2. Aside from daily dispatch of workload, I work closely with our customer service group ensuring a high level of attention and communication to all our clients. I also track drivers DOT hours of service, and ensure all endorsements, certifications, and licensing requirements are current. I am involved in all hiring, evaluations, corrective actions, and terminations. I also approve and manage payroll for all my reports.
