About Brian Messenger

Relying on Excel for critical business functions and calculations often leads to a dilemma at some point - do you continue using it, or should you replace it, perhaps with a built-from-scratch solution or an expensive and not always ideal commercial tool? Our mission is to enable you to embrace rather than replace Excel, keeping it for all the reasons you love it - power, flexibility and agility, not to mention familiarity and all the work you have put into the logic, macros and VBA, but eliminating all the common problems such as exposed IP, version confusion and introduction of errors or undesirable alterations. Turn it into an enterprise-grade web application - without outsourcing the conversion to software developers or IT professionals. If you need to share your spreadsheet models with many users, either inside or outside your organization, how long will it be before somebody corrupts your perfect spreadsheet and causes “spreadsheet chaos”? Furthermore, if your company has critical processes under-pinned by Excel, Python, Matlab or any other modelling tool how do you ensure the users are accessing the correct version of a spreadsheet, rather than an older version they saved locally? To further stand out in your market, technology and data are becoming key tools to do just that. EASA provides the ability to capture not only client data, but also submission metrics, bordereau reporting and real-time portfolio monitoring for exposures and claims, in providing a level of indispensable sophistication that carriers and clients require. EASA collects this data to a database allowing you to monitor trends and make adjustments in real time – enabling a superior response to the market. The more data that can be collected, the more likely carriers are to provide capacity, making it possible for you to offer more specialised programs that support a wide array of industries. EASA is the only low-code application development platform that enables organizations to automate, simplify and manage critical business processes which depend on spreadsheets or other modeling tools. The ProblemWhen business analysts, sales managers, product designers, and scientists can’t get the process automation they need from IT or consultants, they build their own tools. Over the years, this has resulted in many critical processes which are underpinned by unmanaged spreadsheets or other modeling tools. While low-code development platforms offer “citizen developers” as well as professional developers a managed and more productive environment for this inevitable activity, most low-code platforms cannot incorporate existing spreadsheets, or indeed other assets such as machine learning models. This means app builders must start from scratch, discarding valuable and hard-won process knowledge and intellectual property which already exists in the form of spreadsheets and other modeling tools. The SolutionEASA is the only low-code development platform which enables “citizen developers” to create fit-for-purpose web apps that leverage existing tools such as Excel, MATLAB, Python, and R, eliminating re-work, capturing critical IP, and optimizing your most critical processes.Today, customers such as AIG, GE, P&G and Zurich have deployed apps built with EASA to thousands of users, streamlining processes associated with billions of dollars of revenue.
