I started off working as a Housing Ambassador for the UL Lafayette Housing Department. From there I was able to see first hand how a business is a ran. During my tenure there, I was able to gain skills in the area of Marketing, in person sales, and customer service briefly. I was promoted to team lead towards at the end of my tenure and assisted in recruiting and interviewing a team up. The students I was high on were the ones that were hired and brought impact from the first day on. I took a brief hiatus from working to focus on school to where I ended up getting a 4.0 GPA that semester. Once the Pandemic hit, I realized it was time to get a job and make sure I'm taken care of. I was then brought on at Waitr as a service dispatcher working from home. This job really taught me about organization, management and customer service. My job was to manage a market for the duration of my shift. I had to dispatch orders, make sure that problem orders were taken care of (either customer, driver or restaurant), and had to make sure that we had a good bit of drivers on at the time before the market ran too hot. To put perspective, sometimes I would have 4-5 markets at a time that would run about 200-300 orders at a time. On top of that, when stuff gets behind like that, it means you will have a huge number of problem orders. I was truly one of the best on the team, but due to bias towards me I was unable to move on up in the company. However, I was continually asked to train any and everybody without any extra incentive. From there, I realized I needed to get my worth and that's when Trugreen came found me.I have been a Trugreen Service Planner for about a year now and this job is the most difficult I've had so far but it is the most rewarding at the same time. This job is similar to my last job but is way more in depth. I have to manage a set number of branches and make sure that we capture all revenue that will cancel, the routes going out the next day are efficient, and give my branches updates to make sure we stay on the pace of success. Within that, I have to use Excel everyday to put our finals together for our branches to review to ensure they know what they are producing tomorrow. I am very proficient in using Teams/Outlook as well. A tool we use as well is Tableau and that is to make sure that we are good on our metrics. My management team has the upmost trust in me. I'm able to call plays for my plan and get trusted that it will work. It is one of the biggest honors in the planning world. People who have been here for years aren't that lucky.
