Brining my end to end knowledge of the process was empowering, and helped me shape how clients and colleagues interacted alike.The typical duties of the role included the standard cradle to grave responsibilities of expatriate assignment management for the clients. • Management of all aspects of the client’s international assignment programmes from pre-selection, pre-assignment, assignment and onto the assignees repatriation. • Some light duties around explaining expat Compensation and Benefits to the assignees, and payroll notification. • Coordinating other service providers such as Immigration, tax, and initiating our internal destination services, household good shipments, language and cultural training teams.Unfortunately I was unable to extend my time further with the company as I had to turn my skills and knowledge to that of my own families relocation to Singapore.I truly have lived the whole relocation process, and as the 'trailing spouse' in these modern times I can share that this is a fascinating experience.
