Managed the artifact collections as well as the library and archive as the only collections staff member in a small local history museum. Responsible for the documentation and cataloging of all new acquisitions, monitoring of environment conditions in collections spaces, as well as oversight of incoming and outgoing loans. Maintained and updated exhibitions while rotating objects on display. Provided assistance to researchers while giving them access to both archival and object collections as well as responded to research inquiries submitted online and by mail.

Maintained all Development Department database and administrative records on current and prospective donors, recorded and acknowledged gifts, provided administrative support for all fundraising events, and managed the development-related content on the Museum’s website. Oversaw and rejuvenated the memorial brick program beginning in 2012, more than doubling the annual revenue from the program over a two-year period.

Greeted and directed visitors to the Museum’s offerings, responded to visitors’ inquiries about the ship’s history, conducted visitor surveys. Administrative responsibilities included scheduling group visits, scheduling museum gallery and front desk staff coverage, distributing educational and promotional material, and maintaining visitation statistics.

Portsmouth, New Hampshire

Compiled a new training and resource guide for an existing guided walking tour about Portsmouth’s and Strawbery Banke’s maritime history. This curriculum was implemented by the Museum in the spring of 2007.

Also completed several collections management projects that provided experience in using collections management database software, handling, housing, and inventorying objects, the accession process, integrated pest management, and disaster response planning.
