 Direct all aspects of the Logistics function, for the North American headquarters of Sanofi Pasteur, which encompasses outbound commercial and non-commercial shipments, processed in accordance to local, Federal and International Regulations (DOT, IATA/ICAO, TSA, etc.) Items shipped include: equipment, intermediates (work in process, filled containers, bulk, etc) and final packaged vaccine product. Act as the Logistics SME for Cold Chain and CRT initiatives, which encompasses cold storage, temperature-qualified packaging and facility temperature mapping.  Drive Quality, Safety and Training initiatives for the Warehouse & Logistics Operations Department, consisting of Standard Operating Procedures, Training (online, OJT document review, etc.), Change Controls, Deviations, CAPA’s and Audits (internal and external.) Responsible for 3PL offsite warehousing services, used as an extension of the site receiving and warehousing operations.

 Led a team of internal and contracted Logistics technicians and drivers, who processed outbound shipping requests, intra-site deliveries and inter-site transports.  Acted as the Primary Facility Contact for the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Certified Cargo Screening Program (CCSP), for the Swiftwater Outbound Logistics operation. Represented the Logistics function on the Swiftwater Incident Management Team, which responds to critical events (natural disaster, hostile acts/acts of terror, accidents, etc) on the site. Active member of the Change Execution and Communication Team, whose responsibilities are to act as facilitators and change agents for the Industrial Operations Right First Time project teams.

 Responsible for all purchasing functions (RFI/RFP generation and analysis, vendor negotiation and contract implementation), as related to Distribution, Transportation Logistics, Marketing and Sales (Material and Literature Fulfillment; Convention Services) and Internal Communications spend categories. – 2007 Spend Coverage = $24M; In 2008, my role was expanded to include sourcing responsibility for Industrial Supplies and FFIP components (vials, syringes, etc.) Upheld the Global Purchasing Mission (Support a Sustainable and Profitable Growth; Secure Supply; Ensure Compliance to Policies), through open communications and negotiations with Business Partners, Finance and Legal teams.  Performed internal financial audits, in support of the Sanofi Group Sarbanes Oxley Initiative.

 Managed Sanofi Pasteur’s small-parcel and heavyweight air freight carrier relationships (approx $8M spend), which encompassed contract negotiation and financial analysis, as well as the development and reporting of performance-based metrics. Performed scheduled and ad-hoc vendor audits, to ensure receipt of services and/or products, for which all parties have contractually agreed upon. Supported Transportation Logistics purchasing-related initiatives, which generated both cash savings and cost avoidance. Represented Distribution and Transportation Logistics, with regards to all IS-related projects for ComOps and SAP (project management - issue identification, testing and issue resolution.) Developed and administered the Transportation Disruptions Process (management of customer orders during a weather event or national emergency.) Managed the process development, incident processing and reporting of claims for WIP, finished goods and capital equipment, due to loss, damage or delay in-transit. Assisted internal shippers with the planning and processing of shipments, containing finished goods, WIP, promotional materials and capital equipment.
