past work experience:educated through university of limerick as personal trainer, worked in the fitness industry as a personal trainer from 1993 to 1999. in that time I further educated myself and went into leisure management and before entering into my current role was manager of a fitness complex with a hotel group.with my current employer since January 1999.employment duties see me engaged in conflict resolution on a daily basis. have developed over time in areas like people management, investigations, communication skills both written and oral as well as extensive continual professional education in law and organisational practice.most recent role, prior to promotion can be described as a team leader responsible for tactical command of tasks as well as human resource management and development and implementation of tactical solutions.personal professional development includes an Honours Degree degree with Smurfit Business School at UCD in leadership and governance, and level 8 with University of Limerick in policing and human rights. current roles sees me in full time management, as district Inspector with responsibilities for Transport Management, Management of Property, responsibility for reduction of assaults and knife crime in my division, and ethnic liaison officer to a large community of non irish nationals.most recently I have been selected as a Silver Tactical Commander and Operations Commander with An Garda Siochana's Special Tactics and Operations Command unit attached to the Eastern Region with responsibility for the Armed Support Unit Operations for the Eastern Region with additional national and regional portfolio's.
