Reporting directly to the Company MD and dotted line into Group FD, key responsibilities are: • Managing a finance team of 10 (includes Retail Commercial Finance Manager, Retail Finance Manager, Farms Finance Manager, FC for Asia Division, FC for Flowers Company, FC for Market Company), Administration (6 Staff report into Admin Manager), Stock control (4 Staff report into Stock Control Manager), and Health and Safety Manager for the company• Building and maintaining relationships with Key Directors/Department heads of the following companies/divisions – Retail Business Ireland (Commercial, Sales & Marketing, Operations, HR, Technical, Transport); Asia Division; Farms Division’s for Soft-fruit and Salads; Flowers business, Retail Business in Market. Three of the divisions are located away from the main head office.• A key member of the Retail Strategy Team, putting in place a detailed three year strategy for 2013-2015 in conjunction with external consultants Genesis. My role now involves providing strategic and financial guidance to ensure that financial commitments are met and as part of this I am Champion of the Plan for Profit initiative within the company which involves managing ideals to increase revenue, reduce costs, and increase margin. In addition I work closely with the Lean Transform Director to deliver company-wide transformation in culture and productivity performance.• Implementation of a Corporate Governance Framework to ensure the Keelings Retail leadership team is focused on the key objectives and projects for the year.• Managing working capital through the on-site shared services centre to ensure optimal performance, including treasury and cashflow management.• Lead on operational system development bridging between business requirements and systems development. • Responsible for Health and Safety Governance in the company ensuring level of accidents and claims are kept to a minimum.

Reporting directly to the MD (Owner of the company), key responsibilities were: • Presenting the monthly management accounts providing comparisons to forecast and budget.• Management of working capital.• Responsible for control of costs/overheads and analytical review of trends, margins, revenue and costs.• Preparing the year-end statutory accounts, including liaison with the external audit team, ensuring all queries are dealt with thoroughly and professionally.• Reviewing Annual Corporation Tax Returns.• Budgeting/Forecasting: annual budget preparation, quarterly forecasting & cash flow forecasting.• Working with Business Development on all commercial pricing proposals to current and potential clients.• Supporting the MD on potential acquisitions, providing due diligence profit/costs/margin analysis.• Maintaining the annual company secretarial returns.• Managing the company’s engineering team for performance payments and van hire maintenance.• Managing the relationships with professional advisers i.e. auditors, banks, insurance, solicitors.
