As Director of Underwriting I manage four Underwriting Managers and oversee the underwriting function across multiple clients and business channels including LLN's Non-Delegated Correspondent channel. I am responsible for the hiring and management of more than 25 Underwriters, manage the quality of underwriting as well as adherence to SLA's. I am directly involved with client relations, drafting new policy and procedure documents, technology testing and rollouts, new product rollouts and training.

Managed a team of Underwriters for both the Wholesale and Retail divisions of New Penn Financial. Responsible for monitoring daily Underwriter productivity to meet published service level agreements. Second signed files for Underwriters working towards achieving their DE or VA authority as well as files which were exceptions to New Penn overlays. Monitored daily file assignments and load balanced where needed to maximize productivity and turn times. Fielded and resolved all escalations from clients and or sales to achieve the best possible outcomes for both the client as well as New Penn. Continually monitored Underwriting quality and provided feedback to Underwriters to achieve the highest quality Underwrite while providing alternatives to the client to facilitate more loan closings. Assisted sales with scenarios and loan structuring to insure a positive result upon submission. Identified loans on a daily basis that were outside of published service level agreements to prioritize them so on time closings could be maximized.

Provide 2nd review and required 2nd signature on Jumbo loans for the So. CA Jumbo team. Oversee underwriting quality and continously improve underwriter performance through constant monitoring and training. Work hand in hand with sales and the exception desk to obtain approvals on the most complex and challenging files. Oversee the curing of any and all QC findings both pre and post fund to insure loan saleability and manage the sites QC process insuring that all loans have passed the required QC/QA prior to funding.

I oversee the fulfillment process within a Bank of America Home Loans retail mortgage office. Supervising a staff of 15 processors, underwriters and funders, I support the originations of 20 mortgage loan officers. Our office specializes in Conventional, FHA, CalPers and CalStrs loans and our monthly fundings average 30 million per month.

Managed a residential mortgage fulfillment center doing as much as 200 million per month in production. At various times I managed both sales and operations and consistently met all sales targets.Worked extensively on various committees to re-design the companies work flow and was the test center for many technology initiatives.
