I am passionate and devoted to Biology education. I have been performing duties within education for the past 18 years. My current position has given me a wide range of knowledge regarding curriculum planning, preparation and design. For example: I worked closely with the Secondary Science Coordinator to create common classroom experiences, for secondary Biology students across Council Bluffs Community School District, to meet the rigors of the Next Generation Science Standards. In addition, having worked with online students, I have had the opportunity to implement a curriculum designed to meet the needs of virtual learners.My many years of classroom teaching experience have given me the ability to create positive connections with students and staff members alike. I am a team player and a proven liaison to connect students, and parents, to the physical and virtual school environment. I have a great working relationship with my peers and am highly regarded as being someone that can get the job done.Throughout my teaching career I have maintained an outstanding work ethic and the highest ofprofessional standards. My positions in education for the past 18 years, specifically in curriculum planning, preparation, design and implementation, has allowed me to perfect my interpersonal and collaboration skills. Among other skills of mine are making sound, informed decisions and striving for results.
