• Farm development and production planning for new greenfields venture in Tanzania-25 000 ha and 8000 ha farms• Land-survey and logistics and infrastructural set-up• Crop production to be introduced• Opening of virgin fields and set-up thereof• Study terrain and initiate planning of all irrigation systems and conservation and tillage methods• Set-up design for irrigation system-Pivots required, placement of pivots, water to be used• Planning of pump-stations, feeder canals/pipe-lines; drainage canals• Planning of power-lines, roads, bridges, pipe-lines, etc for initial 3600 ha’s Rifiji and 3200 ha’s Kilosa• Planning of plant and equipment to be required to use in opening and producing several crops• Farm-planning for production of rice, maize, soyas, cowpeas and others in rotation• Site-planning for all pre- and post-harvest materials and produce, and equipment requirements• Planning for HR requirements for large project-admin, driver-operators and other personnel to be hired and trained• Assist with budget and planning of tillage-techniques and chemical and fertilizer usage• Planning for trial-plots and crops to be introduced• Work with Research stations and seed companies on process of introducing new cultivars for trial and eventual use• All crop planning designed around local weather conditions and soils available• Survey boundaries of properties and confirmation thereof• Investigate initiation of water-rights and water-usage from rivers, existing lakes, and underground water• Measure and report on existing housing and other buildings, roads, rail, etc.• Design all power requirements for factory and irrigation at Kilosa• Workings on all water requirements daily and monthly throughout year for efficient irrigation on all projects• Look into storage works for drought-period years
