• Provide direction and mechanical support to the production line and bindery mechanics as needed• Monitor all work in progress ensuring that a continous workflow is maintained. • Maintain a parts inventory for machines by providing management with a complete list of parts to be ordered including the vendor's name and the associated cost for each part. • Develop and maintain a preventative maintenance program for the inserting machines and ensures that maintenance occurs according to scheduled deadlines. • Follows all departmental procedures as directed, keep accurate records of all work performed as well as parts used.• Checks the quality of material completed by the Insertion equipment ensuring that the material and final product is of satisfactory quality.• Assist in training and certification of machine operators on material and detection set-up on the inserter, Cheshire and folding machines as required. • Rebuilds and maintains meter bases ensuring that they are in working order at all times. • Keeps informed of new technology and parts for all machines.• Service 8-Series, FPS, APS and MPS Pitney Bowes inserting equipment.
