Through my travels to Turkana West sub-county, including areas such as Lopur, Lokichogio, Naanam, Kalobeyei, Songot, Letea, and Kakuma, I gained valuable research skills and experience. During my time at KDRDIP, I contributed to the successful implementation of numerous community development projects and impact assessments that have benefitted over 5,000 households in the region. The biggest lesson I learned is that even small actions can have a significant impact on people's lives, and research plays a crucial role in understanding the needs of communities and improving their livelihoods.
