I have been practicing law for the past thirty-nine years. In November 2011, I decided to modify the nature of my practice and begin a career in alternative dispute resolution/mediation of civil lawsuits. While my law firm, Nash & Associates, a boutique law firm specializing in medical malpractice and catastrophic injury cases, remains somewhat active in handling our current clients' cases, I have now placed my personal emphasis of practice in the field of mediation. At the beginning of 2012, I formed Nash Mediation, L.L.C. My mediation activities are primarily throughout the State of Maryland and Washington, D.C. As a litigator, I represented defendants for a number of years prior to changing my practice to the representation of plaintiffs in civil litigation. I have been listed in Super Lawyers, the Washingtonian and have received the highest rating - AV - for years by Martindale-Hubbell. I am a member of this country's most prestigious trial lawyers organization - the American College of Trial Lawyers as well as the American Board of Trial Advocacy. I have completed basic and advanced training in the field of mediation and have now been approved by numerous courts in Maryland for mediating disputes between litigants in civil lawsuits. In my new career, I have handled numerous, complex case mediations both in the pre-suit and pre-trial phases. I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience as a mediator.
