Quality Process Engineer currently overseeing Ohio Assembly Plant AI Implementation, Innovation Adoption and Quality Improvement Processes. Assisted in stand up of Gigafactory 1 Model 3/Y Programs. Heavy involvement in early Quality Engineering for Battery Cell Testing, Battery Module Manufacturing, Battery Module Wire Bonding, Battery Module Configuration and Battery Pack Manufacturing. Control Implementation and Control Plan creation, edits and adherence. Responsible for Control Plan Audit schedule creation and Reaction Plan creation and adherence. Worked with Test Cell Team to design in process EOL testing and Quality Controls. Responsible for containment actions of escaped defects and downstream customer impacts. Coordinated Design/Process change rollouts to production lines. Oversaw Gigafactory Incoming Quality on night crews for 4 years until program allowed for IQ Management hire. Operationally responsible for coaching, training and overall development of Quality Engineering Technicians. Delegation of tasks based on individuals’ strengths and business needs. Developed and implemented an employee recognition program. Provided detailed, in person reports to higher leadership and cross functional teams in regard to Quality issues and response plans to address them. Led cross functional teams, including senior/executive staff, in problem solving, root cause analysis and response plans. Interact with Manufacturing Teams to determine shift priorities and allocation of labor based on business needs. Demonstrated ability to keep customer and employee safety a priority over production rates. Ability to quickly analyze root cause of quality defects, specific example being metal contamination in adhesive beads, potentially putting customers at risk and costing Tesla millions of dollars.
