Managing over KES 600 million annual turnover while reporting to the GM and the MD, my overall responsibility involved proper stock control, purchasing, transportation, logistics, contracting, distribution, warehousing, staffing and staff training, and customer deliveries. Coordinating work of junior accountants and other staff members, the overall responsibility was to ensure that proper books of accounts are maintained and statutory obligations fulfilled. • Negotiate competitive pricing with carriers and logistic providers . Prepare management accounts including statement of financial income, financial position and cash flow using Quick Books; while maintaining financial policies, procedures and internal controls system. • Follow up of overdue debts by emails, calls and client visits; sending out formal reminders to clients on their credit position. Negotiate customers’ credit repayment plans and undertake customers’ accounts reconciliation. • Supervise three junior accountants and other staff members to ensure teamwork and enhance efficiency.
