Cyber Security:I've always had a passion for technology, which led me to explore various opportunities to learn more about this field. During high school, I joined the JROTC program at my dad’s encouragement and joined the CyberPatriot team at my mom's suggestion. It is in this experience that I learned much about administrative practices, VMWare, and a better understanding of Windows. This experience sparked a deep interest in cybersecurity, which I have been pursuing ever since. I have been taking classes like Digital Forensics Analysis 1, Network Security, Information Assurance and Security, Telecom and Networking, and many others to further shape a round my knowledge of cyber security. Many of these classes helped utilize the use of applications and websites such as Wireshark, PfSense, HxD, Net Miner, SimSpace, etc. So far, I have been enjoying everything I have learned and am excited to apply it in new ways.Leadership Experience:As a First Lieutenant and Alpha Company Commander in JROTC, I gained valuable leadership skills that have shaped me into the person I am today. Since then, I have been working towards completing my degree in cybersecurity, attending Northeast Lakeview College and Palo Alto College before transferring to UTSA.Goals:As a more recent development, I have decided to explore the teaching and professorship side of cyber security. I have always thought of the idea of being able to teach but never knew how I would go about doing so. I feel pursuing my master's, further pursuing my doctorate, and becoming a professor can best help me feed into that passion.Job Interest:Currently, I am seeking a summer cybersecurity internship to gain practical experience and further develop my skills. With my passion for technology and cybersecurity, and my newfound goal to teach getting clearer and clearer every day, I am eager to contribute my knowledge and skills to educating the new generation of cyber professionals.
