Tron Enterprises Limited is a transportation company whose fleet comprises of 30tons bulker and containerized trucks. It specializes in long distance transportation of bulk and bagged cement, petroleum products, among others. The cargo is mainly transported to various destinations around Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi and Congo. Tron has branches in Uganda and Rwanda with the head quarters in Kenya. As an Accountant I was charged with various responsibilities including invoice, proforma invoice, LPO and credit note preparations, preparation of management accounts for evaluation and decision making by management, monthly budget preparation, preparation of business plans for funding purposes, credit management as I am spearheading the credit control team, preparation of financial projections for new contracts to ascertain the profitability of the contract presented, loan account reconciliations, bank reconciliations, debtor and creditor reconciliations, preparation of weekly, monthly and annual reports and prestation to board of directors and advice them on key areas to rectify as far as operations is concern, interpretation of audited accounts before presentation to the relevant authorities, preparation and interpretation of the income statement report to ascertain the individual performance of the assets, payroll preparation, submission of statutory deduction, petty cash management, disbursement of various payment through RTGS and Mobile money among other duties.I have garnered a lot of experience in Management accounting while working for Tron most notable being the creation of per asset reporting system to evaluate the profitability of the individual assets, performance of individual drivers and their supervisors. The management is impressed with this system of operation and have adopted it completely with me spearheading its implementation to help the operations team in making key decisions. We use Quick books is to maintain the books of accounts.

As an Assistant Accountant I was charged with various responsibilities including preparation of documents and ledgers needed for the annual statutory audit, preparations of payment to creditors, preparations of matured customer cheques for banking, maintenance and filing of various accounting documents, bank reconciliations, accounts reconciliations, credit control, preparation of reports, preparation of invoice, credit notes, LPO among other accounting documents, timely filing and submitting statutory deductions to the relevant authorities, payroll preparation, intercompany account maintenance and reconciliations including passing general journals, petty cash management among other duties allocated to me.For the above accounting exercise we used Tally Solutions software as well as Microsoft Office to maintain the books of accounts,.My time in Questa Care Limited was made easier by numerous skills most notable ones being my computer skills, team work skills and problem solving skill.Most of the time where my counter parts encountered any accounting problems, I would quickly group them into a small temporary team to help troubleshoot the issues at hand through brain storming. We would then come up with multiple solutions to the problem and find the best fit for the current problem.This problem solving system proved efficient and effective enough that the top management adopted it for all the midlevel employees of the company.
