•Primary role to design and integrate heat exchangers into various applications (LeMans prototypes and gt cars, OEM production cars, prototype aerospace, military vehicles, vintage racecars, etc.)•Project timelines ranging from several hours to multiple years, typically following project from concept thru manufacturing and quality verification. •Responsible for design and implementation of all tooling required for tier one Ford GT500 engine and transmission coolers (ie. weld fixtures, PLC controlled check fixtures, and pressure check equipment)•Shared in responsibility for part design, documentation, tooling design, and production process for multiple oem customers including Ford, Multimatic, McLaren, Aston Martin, Lotus, and Saleen.

•Responsible for overseeing the 3D scanning, comparison, and update to all documentation of fabricated parts used in the construction of residential furnaces and fan coils. •Utilized Polyworks software to merge scan data and solid models to create detailed dimensional accuracy reports

Member of a very small and fast moving design team primarily assigned to composites parts and structures from design thru manufacture. Experience including (but not limited to):• Solid and surface modeling in Solidworks to create ducting, interior and exterior body panels, safety structures, fuel and oil system components, gearbox components, door components, tooling, etc.• Design of structurally critical composite/machined components including driver safety structures, integration of air jacks into the vehicle chassis, and vehicle lift points• Mold/pattern design (Carbon and Aluminum tooling) • Creation of composite layup books for manufacture• Technical drawing creation for outsourcing composite, machined, and rapid prototype parts including tolerance stack ups• Creation, conducting, and reporting on all FIA bodywork deflection testing • Assisted in organizing and supervising all FIA mandated load and impact testing at CAPE test center• Support engineer for a number of pre-race tests and for the #21 car at the 24 Hours of LeMans

Job included working under several senior mechanical and electrical engineers to design and fabricate various mounting solutions for data collection tools including video cameras, sensors, computer modules, GPS antennas, and radar units. Test vehicles ranged from new gasoline and electric cars/suvs to motorcycles and semi trucks. Utilized solidworks for all 3D design.
