Leading a team of Subject Matter Experts in the analysis, deployment and integration of newly deployed Department of Defense (DOD) requirement addressing Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) criteria ensuring future Boeing Defense program acquisition.

Chaired the Manufacturing Engineering Function as the representative and voting member on Boeing Defense Engineering business process level councils and policy decisions. Represented the Engineering Function on all issues involving Business Process integration with Manufacturing Operations and Supplier Management Functions. Developed a method to collect and organize multi-disciplined command media into a coherent set of subject matter in support of Command Media reduction and standardization initiatives reducing the foot print from over 8000 writings to less than 700. Developed an integrated process model for Manufacturing Engineering activities as they relate to Boeing’s Product Development Life Cycle. This particular business modeling approach has been adopted as a best practice method for all engineering business development teams. Lead the development and managed the Process Based Management (PBM) engineering process improvement plan, process and procedure integration and coordination with both internal and external Boeing teams and the Defense Contractor Management Administration (DCMA) Process teams. Over saw 4 years of the C-17 program ISO AS9100 as well as DCMA audits and issue resolution evaluations achieving a zero finding performance threshold.

Lead the development of the Avionics and Flight Control Alignment process by defining, and integrating a new manufacturing technology process for aligning large aircraft avionics flight control hardware by researching internal and external technologies under development. Chaired a panel of industry experts to evaluate this new technology and then developed production proposals to implement the technology on the C-17 platform achieving a production cycle time reduction of 11 days and improving the quality and repeatability of the installation. Developed and implemented an improved defensive system installation design concept that reduced the projected C-17 modification cost by Two Million Dollars ($2,000,000) for the developmental of the initial 12 aircraft.

Manufacturing Engineering Project leader overseeing a re-design to the C-17 structural Aft Wing Close-Out assembly which reduced the build by 700 man-hours and improved the lead-time by 3 weeks. Developed multiple product design enhancements as well as production implementation proposals to address improvements to critical path and cycle time of assembling the C-17. Principal manufacturing engineer applying manufacturing build expertise in support of all C-17 crew and access doors assembly and installation processes. Traveled to bases across the country to train and work with maintenance crews on the proper usage and installation of the C-17 aircraft crew door.Developed build sequence and major assembly tooling of the C-17 forward fuselage section from the drawing board into production aiding the continued production beyond the initial 40 vehicles.
