Prior to his work with The Mark Twain House & Museum, Omar held the role of Strategic Engagement Specialist at the Five College Consortium, where he oversaw the planning and execution of events for multiple programs and committees.Born in Puerto Rico and raised in Hartford, Connecticut, Omar brings a multicultural perspective and a passion for amplifying diverse voices to his work. He has leveraged his writing talents as a staff writer at La Respuesta Media, where he authored compelling digital content focusing on Puerto Rican identity and culture, conducted interviews with community leaders, and contributed innovative content ideas to editorial discussions.Omar attended Eastern Connecticut State University where he majored in English, underscoring his dedication to effective communication and storytelling.
