Coordinate all aspects of the finance function for a public business development company that lends to and invests in middle market privately-held companies. Lead and manage relationships with analysts, investors, lenders, investment bankers, the Securities and Exchange Commission and auditors.

Coordinate all aspects of accounting, consolidation, banking, financing, and financial modeling and reporting for the structured finance group including 13 managed CDOs, an externally managed REIT, a distressed bond fund and a long/short hedge fund. Manage relationships with investors, bankers and auditors on accounting, business combination, REIT and 40-Act issues; and facilitate filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Coordinate all aspects of accounting, consolidation, banking, financing, budgeting, human resources and financial reporting for a real estate finance and investment management company from initial start-up to over $2 billion of balance sheet and managed assets. Advise President on accounting, business combination, Securities and Exchange Commission, New York Stock Exchange, REIT and 40-Act issues. Maintain relationships with investors, bankers and auditors, and serve as in-house technical expert on all information technology, taxation and accounting issues.

Coordinated all aspects of accounting, consolidation and financial reporting for a $45 million international customer interaction software company to facilitate the dissemination of information to management. Advised Chief Financial Officer on accounting issues, prepared budgets, and prepared other confidential schedules. Responsible for development of financial policies and appropriate controls required for growth from a small entrepreneurial to a multinational corporate environment. Maintained all banking, insurance and accounting relationships, and served as in-house technical expert on all taxation and accounting issues. Directed international finance activity in addition to local accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and credit and collection functions.

Coordinated all aspects of accounting, consolidation and financial reporting for a $1.5 billion bank and its 102 subsidiaries to facilitate dissemination of information to the Board of Directors, regulators, and investors. Advised Chief Financial Officer on regulatory issues with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and the New York State Banking Department, accounting issues and annual budgeting, and preparation of other confidential schedules. Coordinated staff in completion of all reports and advised management on all accounting and reporting issues.

Directed the operation of a small savings and loan association including accounting, marketing, lending and branch administration. Set interest rates offered on deposit and loan products in conjunction with monitoring the Association’s gap analysis. Reviewed and approved all loans prior to commitment. Prepared the strategic business plan and budget and updated all policies to bring them in compliance with applicable regulations. Established contact with customers, realtors, community leaders and civic organizations to enhance the reputation of the Association.

Responsible for coordinating the audit and accounting services for several significant clients. Major client account responsibility in both offices included: ALBANK Financial Corporation, Fleet/Norstar Financial Group, Kay-Bee Toy Stores, Key Trust Company, Laneco, Inc., and SI Handling Systems, Inc. Provided specialized accounting and auditing services to publicly held companies including initial public offerings and other forms of financing, acquisition, regulatory research, and various other regulatory filings (i.e., 10-K, 8-K, etc.). Presented financial reports and related financial and operational analyses to Boards of Directors and Audit Committees.
