the world is highly competitive than any other time before. Therefore being different matters.Considering my field of study (Actuarial science), the system that worked for insurance company few years ago, may be obsolete today. this is possible since many people and looking for cheaper and less risky policies to buy. Therefore, design of the system has greater impact in maximization of profit. I believe being an actuary is more than being a company mathematician but someone who can also initiate ideas that can propagate the company forward.
