I have been fortunate to work as a production and reservoir engineer. From 2004-2011, I was a Reservoir Management Team Leader (RMTL). An RMT is a group of 15-25 technical personnel (reservoir engineers, production engineers, geologists, geophysicists, petrophysicists, and technicians) which are focused on reservoir management and development. In May 2011, I was promoted to Asset Development Manager with responsbility for a few RMTs. The responsibility of maximizing asset value to Oxy shareholders continues to be the focus. This involves developing plans to extract oil and gas, working with Drilling and Facilities for the implementation, and working with Operations for surveillance activities that result in optimizing reservoir performance. Cooperation with partners continues to be vital; government agencies, service companies, and both national and international oil companies. In December 2013, I was promoted to President and General Manager of Oxy's California Heavy Oil, Inc. My experience includes domestic (California and Texas) and expat assignments (Qatar and Colombia). In 2014, CRC was spun off from Oxy, and I now head up what is referred to as Central Valley Operations, one of CRC's 4 operating areas. In April 2016, I rejoined Oxy in Houston to start working the Delaware Basin.Specialties: Reservoir engineering.
