I am a finance and accounting professional with nine years of experience in real estate finance, audit, and financial reporting. As of May 2023, I have started an executive weekend MBA at Duke University's Fuqua School of Business. Most recently I was a Senior Analyst at Walker and Dunlop where I oversaw the engagement, underwriting, and closing of $500M of senior housing financing deals through HUD, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and bridge financing. Prior to that, I spent two years in audit and assurance for Marcum, a top public accounting firm. There, I executed audit engagements of private and public companies across a variety of industries in accordance with U.S. GAAP and PCAOB regulations. I started my career as a financial reporting accountant at Trustmark Insurance. I prepared statutory and GAAP financial reports for nine companies with $2B in assets. Additionally, I performed consolidation and analysis of financial statements for upper management, and collaborated with external auditors during annual statutory and GAAP audit processes for five insurance companies. I earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accountancy from the University of Notre Dame. Upon graduating, I completed the CPA certification process and was licensed through 2022, with the ability to reactivate my license as necessary.
