Atlanta-based, asset management firm established in 2008, focused exclusively on credit opportunities. During my tenure from 2011-2018, Assets Under Management (AUM) grew considerably from $200M to over $9B. Today, Angel Oak Capital manages both public and private funds and separately managed accounts for Financial Institutions. My responsibilities included the implementation and execution of strategic initiatives for the firm and the day-to-day oversight of Capital Markets, Marketing, Operations, and Risk Management. I also played a key role in the build out the Senior Management team in the areas of IT, HR, Legal/Compliance, Marketing, Risk Management, and Sales to manage the firm's rapid growth.

My responsibilities as Head of Sales and Marketing included business development, investor relations, and product distribution across various channels. Since 2012, Assets Under Management (AUM) grew from $200M to $2.0B. In May 2014, I was promoted to Chief Operating Officer for Angel Oak Capital Advisors, LLC. During my tenure, AUM grew to $9B through 2018.

On-line sports content and gaming platform

From 1998-2007, I served as co-founder and Managing Partner at SouthStar Funding LLC, a national, non-agency mortgage originator that grew from 25 employees to over 800 employees and $6.5 billion in annual originations. During this period, annual revenues grew from $3.5 million to over $140 million. In addition, SouthStar Funding was voted one of Atlanta's fastest growing privately held companies as well as the Best Employer in Atlanta by the Atlanta Business Chronicle.My primary responsibilities included leadership over 225 sales and marketing employees for both the wholesale and correspondent lending channels. In addition, I managed the e-Business division, a newly created unit responsible for all client-facing technology applications.
