As a founder and operator, its my job to make sure we are constantly striving to fulfill our mission of recycling organic waste into renewable energy and nutrients. We accomplish this with our incredible people, our tribe-based culture, and are unwavering commitment to excellence in all we do both professionally and personally. Over the years I have been honored to work with industry experts as we tackled the most complex challenges. We delivered the regions first food waste to energy facility that has recycled over 125,000 tons of food waste generating more than 25,00,000 kilowatt hours of electricity. During this time we created new regulations for food waste and energy, structured agreements with the largest national retailers, and continuously innovated with our regional academic partners in bringing new technologies and products to market.Along the way, I have led complex negotiations for JVs, partnerships, offtake agreements, project finance solutions including debt and equity, and governmental support such as grants and loan guarantees. I have deep experience in capital projects, infrastructure development, new market and new product entry, renewable energy markets (cleantech, distributed generation, biomass to liquids, waste to liquids, bioproducts). We’ve been featured in many news outlets and publications, most notably The New York Times, Biocycle Magazine, and NBC. When I’m not working with my colleagues, I enjoy serving on a variety of industry, civic, academic and economic development organizations. In my spare time you can find me with my family or partaking in physically challenging activities.
