I was approached internally to work with a team to architect, engineer, and develop a modern software solution for digital map drafting and design of fiber and copper coaxial internet and cable TV networks. I utilized my years of technical expertise of existing software solutions, such as AutoCAD with the SpatialNET addon and Bentley Microstation, and knowledge of industry design practices to provide recommendations to Software Architects and Product Owners and discuss best practices of tools both on a macro and granular level to provide an end user an efficient experience when designing networks or generating reports.I wrote Oracle SQL queries for extraction of data from existing software DBs. I then identified and matched key/value pairs from the Oracle DB to the new software solution's database model.Additionally, I directly assisted developers by providing technical inner workings of existing software clients in relation to their backend data. I also provided to the developers design knowledge, demonstrated functioning of existing tools, and clarified questions with acceptance criteria of developer user stories in JIRA and Rally. Finally, I did QA on their work to ensure features work as expected.

In my role as a Field Support Engineer, I helped manage SpatialNET Oracle databases, assist new and experienced network Designers in their daily operations, as well as received tickets in Jira Service Desk requiring troubleshooting and determining solutions for technical issues related to Oracle, SpatialNET, AutoCAD, Lode Data, and Windows for local team users, Comcast users, and other contractors.

As a Designer II, I used geospatial data and information to design copper and fiber Internet and cable TV networks as well as designed additions or upgrades for existing networks to utilize present technology for HFC and PON infrastructures using SpatialNET, AutoCAD, and Lode Data. I also provided assistance to team members for software use and drafting practices. In addition, I researched and wrote AutoCAD LISP addon tools to increase productivity in the design process as well as wrote structured guides on use of the tools.
