Profile bio

About Brian Paul

As a final-term doctoral candidate in Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering at the University of Delaware (defending December 2024), I bring together broad experience in the design and characterization of protein formulations and am looking for my next opportunity to make a positive community impact through drug product formulation and process development. Co-advisement by four technical experts in the field of biophysical characterization (Abraham Lenhoff, Eric Furst, Norman Wagner, and Susana Teixeira) has provided me with unique interdisciplinary training. My doctoral work combines expertise in shear rheology (SAOS) and microrheology (DWS), static and dynamic light scattering (SLS, DLS), and small-angle neutron (SANS) and x-ray scattering (SAXS) with instrument development and a deep knowledge of protein solution behavior. Alongside my technical training, I have actively sought opportunities to give back to my professional community. This includes four years of volunteer service for multiple roles in my regional ACS Biochemical Technology Division Graduate Student Chapter, co-Chairing the 2024 Gordon Research Seminar on Colloidal, Macromolecular, and Polyelectrolyte Solutions, and virtualizing our Department's community service efforts as our Outreach Lead during the height of the COVID-19 lockdowns.

Listed skills include Matlab, Pro Ii, Microsoft Excel, Solidworks, and 34 others.
