In that role I've gained experience in the design of HVAC systems including: - Motor, VFD, ECM, compressor, pumps, valve, and actuator sizing and selection- Wiring design, wire sizing, sub-fusing schematics, lockouts, fuse and breaker sizing, and panel and conduit layouts- Controller configuration, programming, and functional descriptions- Equipment testing and troubleshooting- 2D and 3D mechanical equipment designs- Electrical and Mechanical performance calculations- Testing and troubleshooting of equipmentMy responsibilities are to ensure that the designs are complete for approval and for the manufacturing of the equipment, while being ready to address any questions or issues that arise in the production process.My earlier start was in construction eventually becoming a small subcontractor, this gave me great familiarity with all phases of construction, at the least to know when the correct time was to start securing work. That experience gave me the first hand experience in working with people and negotiating on time frames, costs, materials, among other terms along with the leadership skills to keep a small crew employed (0-4 people at any given time for ~10 years) and at least relatively content to my abilities and amount of work.
