My responsibilities included writing next version software for a range of tachograph and driver analysis software. The main language was C# and through the portfolio was a mix of .NET (C# and VB) using ASP.Net, MVVM and MVC models. I wrote installers for some of the software using the open source NSIS language.I was working to the Agile methodology (JIRA) and frequently my work was saved to a repository using Subversion. Another role I was required to do was to give 2nd line support to customers who had problems with the installation of their products. This involved using remote desktop to fault find on their machine.

My responsibilities were to develop and maintain local and national IT systems throughout the Tayside region primarily using C#, VB.Net and Microsoft SQL Server. This included clinical systems that the consultants would use around the wards in the hospitals.I was lead developer on a project which the Scottish Government overseen to gather statistics on the well-being of patients in the over 40 year old bracket.I regularly had to attend technical meetings with clinicians which saw me travelling to different health boards in Scotland.
