Flight Simulator Technician
CurrentAs a Field Service Technician at Fidelity Technologies Corporation, I have been instrumental in the operation, maintenance, and repair of the MH-60 R/S Flight Simulator system, ensuring the availability and security of this critical training tool for US Navy Aircrew. My role demands not only technical expertise but also a keen understanding of cybersecurity protocols and regulatory compliance standards. I am responsible for maintaining computer systems running on diverse platforms, including Windows 7, 10, Server 2012, Server 2016, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7 Operating Systems. Weekly updates to virus definitions, along with the meticulous review and archiving of operating system log files, are crucial to safeguarding the simulator's integrity and ensuring compliance with industrystandards. My work with Microsoft Active Directory, maintaining user accounts and passwords, directly impacts system security and access control, critical aspects in maintaining operational readiness. Additionally, I provide technical support and training to Navy instructors, ensuring they can effectively operate the simulator while adhering to security protocols. My role also includes acting as an access control guard, where I ensure only authorized personnel enter the facility, directly contributing to the security posture of the organization. My proactive approach in conducting preventive maintenance checks and services (PMCS) and diagnosing and repairing system malfunctions ensures the continuous uptime of the simulator, supporting the rigorous training schedules necessary for Navy operations.
